About the Artist
My art journey of over a decade has gained a reputation as an art form for cozy homes and all wellness spaces. The people who give a home to my art pieces continue to nurture a unique place in the realm of Art for Hope and Healing.
In 2011, my creative path took an unexpected turn. My personal journey alongside my yoga practice inspired early etchings of spiritual expressions drawn on recycled square coffee filters that eventually turned into large paintings on canvases. I've been told that feminine and angelic beings come to life as my sweeping brush strokes capture the dance between breath and sacred movement, touching on themes of light, love, freedom, divine feminine, balance, purity, and harmony. Today, my art can be found in healing spaces nationally and internationally and is continually gaining a reputation for art pieces containing whispers of truth.
My name is Rhonna del Rio (b.1972). I earned a NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where I was grateful to receive honors such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design and Academic Award. With a background rooted in structure and precision, painting has become a space where I can let go—releasing expectations and allowing each piece to unfold naturally in the moment. My work has been shared in several publications and was also featured on the front page of our local newspaper in an article titled “Local Artist Brings Harmony and Peace.”
Fun Facts about me: You will find me being silly with my daughter and our cat, flowing on my yoga mat, rearranging someone's furniture, designing a house or backyard, holding a cup of coffee, and gazing at a blank canvas from the floor in my home or art studio where I paint.
